WELCOME TO KIM BAKER BALLET ACADEMY
We are a dedicated dance training institution offering classes for students aged from 2 years to adults, catering for those who show exceptional talent and potential to reach the highest levels of international ballet performance and those who would like to dance for a hobby, gaining all the benefits dance brings to your life. Established in 1990, The Academy is one of only a few schools to offer a specialist after school and professional full-time specialist program for talented dancers and budding dance teachers in Perth. Our program is based on the famous Vaganova Russian syllabus - used in professional ballet schools throughout the world. The Academy also offers a Standard Course, Tiny Tots and Junior Ballet. The standard course develops a good classical technique as well as a delightful dance quality, musicality and above all else an enjoyment and appreciation of this beautiful art form. Students participating in the standard course can attend as many classes as they wish. The contemporary classes are suitable for children from 11 years of age and are perfect for all levels and highly recommended for ATAR dance students. We are also one of the few dance schools in Perth who offer a Nationally recognised Certificate Course, in partnership with Empowerdance (RTO 40397). Passionate students from 12 years of age can apply to enter. The Tiny Tots and Junior ballet are creative, fun ballet classes promoting imagination, rhythm, good posture, listening skills and positive self-esteem.
